Fifteen typed pages with numerous handwritten edits and comments regarding "The Philosophy of Sport," intended for inclusion in his acclaimed book, "Basketball: Its Origin and Development." First is an eleven page manuscript covering Naismith's views on motor activity based on numerous activities including work and play, as well as a differentiation between offense and defense. The second manuscript is four pages, and includes his observations and beliefs as a physician on the "key drivers" for optimal activities. Pages average EX. Writing averages bold 9/10.
