    1930's James Naismith Typed Manuscript with Handwritten Notes re: Sportsmanship. Four short manuscripts represent early text that would come to form his acclaimed book, "Basketball: Its Origin and Development." 1) Eight pages entitled "What Basketball Has Given to Physical Education." A few notes in the margin. 2) Four pages entitled "How Basketball Has Effected (sic) Sportsmanship. Several notes, adjustments. 3) Eight pages entitled "Athletics and Sportsmanship." Numerous adjustments, notes in margin. 4) Single page entitled "Definition of Attributes Developed by or Used in Athletics. Minor notations. Pages remain in fine EX-MT condition. LOA from PSA/DNA.
