    Description

1930 James Naismith Signed Typed Letter. James Naismith is one of sport's true innovators. It was Naismith who gave our world basketball.

Written on Dr. Naismith's personal University of Kansas stationery is this questionnaire sent to Katherine Montgomery of Florida State College for Women. Naismith sent this inquiry letter as he was assembling the history of the sport he created. The basic questions were to be answered and sent back to Naismith at Kansas. Montgomery answered each question and offered further explanation to question 1 on the bottom.

Naismith signed the bottom portion in brilliant black ink and carefully formed each letter of his name. The regular fold marks are present, none of which approach the autograph. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
