    1920's James Naismith Typed Speeches with Handwritten Notes re: Religion, Athletics. Two speeches by Dr. Naismith on "Religious Intolerance" and "The Development of Character Through Athletics." The former (nine typed pages) was given to Naismith's "Saturday Night Class" in October, 1928. His personal beliefs regarding religion are set forth in great detail. The latter is on thirteen typed half-pages, and mention legendary coach Amos Alonzo Stagg and his views on the subject. It touches on corruption in sports and the damage it causes. Another example of Naismith's philosophy in his own words. Pages are EX. Handwritten text averages 9/10. LOA from PSA/DNA.
