    Description

1920's-30's Letters Written to James Naismith Archive. Over twenty typed and signed letters were mailed to Dr. Naismith by schools all over the United States and Canada, most answering the questionnaire sent by Naismith asking "when did your school begin playing basketball?" While there are no household names among the respondents, the early basketball content is incredible, and sure to fascinate any sports historian. Letters show typical wear, but all are solid and legible.
