    Location: En route to U.S. aboard ship "Rochambeau."

    General Topics: Written to a fellow medical doctor. Discusses "our work" and that they cannot make the progress they would like. Mentions a future lecture tour and Springfield.

    Quotation: "...You will enjoy working with the men who are in our Dept. as they are a loyal and earnest bunch of fellows..."

    Closing signature variation: "Ever yours, Jim Nay." Rare variation!

    Mailing envelope: Yes, "J. Naismith" (7/10). Also here, on verso of envelope, is what appears to be text for an emergency telegram to another doctor: "Daughter Seriously Ill, imperative you meet Rochambeau arriving Monday, Dr. Naismith." This text is 9/10.
