    1918 James Naismith Handwritten Signed Letter with Signed Envelope.

    Date: September 6, 1918.

    Location: France.

    Length in pages: Ten.

    General Topics: Sending little flowers (included!). Talks about other gifts sent, including French watercolor paintings. Misses family.

    Quotation: "...but in looking in my notebook I find some pressed [flowers] that I have picked up in the fields of France and every time I pick one I think of you and how much I wish I could hand them to you instead of putting them in my book...I will send a few of them in this letter..."

    Closing signature variation: "Ever your loving husband, Jim."

    Mailing envelope: Yes, "J. Naismith" (Some creasing, otherwise 9/10) and "Mrs. Jas. Naismith" (9/10). Also here is the page of pressed flowers with inscription, "To Maude E. Naismith, from Jim N." This page is included in count of ten.
