Date: November 26, 1917.

Location: France (uses Eagle Pass, Texas letterhead, but definitely mailed from France).

Length in pages: Three.

General Topics: Not sending any Christmas presents--unsure what censors allow. Talks about his work in detail. Writes a little poem.

Quotation: "...Just got my first souvenir today...part of a big dirigible that came down when chased by an aeroplane..."

Closing signature variation: "Ever your loving hubby, Papa Jim." Also a separate postscript signed "Papa Jim."
