Michael Jordan #101 card at upper left corner is flawless!

1984-85 Star Co. Basketball Uncut Sheet with Both Michael Jordan Cards (100 Cards Total). Nobody loves trading cards more than our staff here at Heritage, but if we had a single complaint to lodge, it would be that the relatively diminutive dimensions of the average specimen does not lend itself to display quite as well as many other sports collectibles formats. That argument is fully undermined here, however, in one of the rarest and most visually compelling modern uncut sheets that Heritage has presented to the collecting community.

As any serious collector of Michael Jordan is well aware, the 1984-85 Star is considerably more scarce than the fabled 1986-87 Fleer that serves as His Airness' official rookie, and the only major issue actually released during the iconic Hall of Famer's debut campaign. A happy twist of fate finds the rising superstar appearing twice within the 288-card issue, once as a representative of the Chicago Bulls and again as a member of the 1984 USA Olympic Basketball team that brought home the Gold in Los Angeles.

With each team blocked off in its own colored background, the sheet takes on the appearance of modern art, and Jordan appears in the two red sections--at the top left corner with the Chicago Bulls, and at right edge, third from the bottom with the Olympians.

It is only upon the closest inspection that we spot a few condition faults, notably minor surface scratching that affects about a quarter of the cards, and wrinkles that intersect with four. Fortuitously, the Bulls card featuring Jordan is spared either of these flaws, while the Olympics card is minimally scratched. Again, we should stress that these issues virtually disappear upon framed display but must be disclosed in the interest of full transparency. We instruct interested bidders to view our online imagery for the most useful method of assessing condition card by card.
