1981 Topps Basketball Unopened 500-Count Vending Box (All 3 Regions) - From the Fritsch Vault! For the 1981-82 Topps basketball release, Topps distributed the 198 card set in East, Midwest and West regions. The set consisted of 66 "National" cards that each region received along with a 44 card region specific cards. A collector in NYC would need to correspond with a collector in Chicago to obtain any cards specific to the other regions. Before the internet, this was done largely by mail and hobby publications, which made it a bit more tedious to put together a complete set. Offered here is a 1981-82 Topps Basketball unopened vending box containing 500 cards from all three regions. Inside could be multiple Mint to Gem Mint examples featuring the second year cards of Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. The box presents wonderfully with mild wear. Authenticated and sealed by Steve Hart-Baseball Card Exchange with a label from the Fritsch Vault.Guide Value or Estimate: $4,000 - up.
