1980 Topps Basketball Wax Box with 36 Unopened Packs - Magic Johnson & Larry Bird Rookie! Four decades later, this virgin survivor recalls the beginning of the most important decade in NBA history, when giants like Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Michael Jordan commanded the attention of a global basketball audience. This issue introduced two of those Hall of Fame immortals with one of the most famous cards of the past half-century.We see that card on the box top, indicating that the Topps brass knew that the trio of Bird, Magic and Dr. J would be the wish of every youngster cracking open the wax packs.
