Period-Signed 1948 Bowman Red Holzman Rookie #32 PSA EX 5, PSA/DNA Auto 8 - Pop One, None Higher - From The Golden Age Collection. Well before he became a renowned head coach in the NBA, Hall of Famer William "Red" Holzman was himself a proficient point guard. Playing five of his six pro seasons with the Rochester Royals, Holzman averaged 6.1 points and two assists per outing. His eventual induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a coach occurred in 1986. Offered is Holzman's 1948 Bowman rookie card, which shows him gripping the basketball. This mid-grade example of card #32 is found with good color, decent centering and a clean back. What makes this specimen special is Holzman's signature that adorns the front. He signed it nicely across his left forearm in blue ink. Graded PSA EX 5 with a certified PSA/DNA Auto 8. According to the PSA Pop Report, this is the only autographed card graded EXCELLENT with none rated higher.
