    Description

1961 Fleer Wilt Chamberlain #8 SGC 88 NM/MT 8. One of three at the NM/MT level with ten grading higher. At a time when above-the-rim play was much more of an anomaly than it is in today's game, Wilt Chamberlain dominated opposing defenses with his 7 ft 1 in frame. Arguably one of the most important cards in not just the '61 Fleer series but the entire basketball card hobby. In terms of quality, this one is about as sweet as a one-hundred point game. This high grade representation has been graded SGC 88 NM/MT 8 and boasts brilliant color and registration, corner tips and edges that suggest a newly-opened wax pack as this card hasn't seemed to have been barely handled in the last half century. Exceptionally bright in its visual appeal destined for the finest vintage basketball collection.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
