1961 Fleer Wilt Chamberlain #8 PSA Mint 9. For the basketball collector, reading, "1961 Fleer Wilt Chamberlain rookie card" and "Mint" are terms that stop you in your tracks. Chamberlain was a man of contrast and excellence. He could be at times the most beloved and most reviled figure on the professional court. He is the owner of a staggering quantity of all-time NBA records for scoring and rebounding who also refused to live in Philadelphia, choosing to commute from New York and altering the entire team's practice schedule to accommodate him. It seems his surly side didn't come into play when he was behind closed bedroom doors. Wilt Chamberlain did nothing short of dominated opposing defenses with his 7 ft. 1 in. frame. His rookie card is arguably one of the top two most important cards in the basketball hobby and this is an ultra-high grade representation.

Graded PSA Mint 9. From a total population approaching 1,250, this card is one of thirty-one in Mint with three rated higher. The offered card is a pack-fresh attention grabber with four sharp corners, a fresh layer of shiny gloss which has for the last 50+ years protected inks that are deep, bold and uncompromising. Centering is a small percentage away from perfection and there is a lack of printing imperfections. This is a wonderful and crisp example with tremendous visual appeal and physical quality. It is certainly destined for the finest vintage basketball collection.
