1961 Fleer Jerry West #43 PSA NM-MT 8. The late Jerry West, the NBA's celebrated and silhouetted logo man, was a phenomenal guard for the L.A. Lakers who was instrumental in helping the team cement the 1972 NBA championship. Over his 14-year, Hall of Fame career, all with the Lakers, West averaged 27 points per game to go along with 5.8 rebound and 6.7 assists. After his playing career ended in 1974, he went on to become one of the league's most successful GMs and team executives in history. He passed away at the age of 86 on June 12, 2024.

Offered is West's celebrated 1961 Fleer rookie card. Card #43 from the '61 Fleer series shows a close-up of West directing traffic as he starts to dribble down court. This example is found in terrific condition with bright colors, nice centering, milky white borders, and a clean reverse. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. Of the 1,930 examples found in the PSA Pop Report, this is one of only 159 cards graded NEAR MINT-MINT with 41 rated higher.
