1948 Bowman Ernie Calverley Rookie #1 PSA Mint 9 - None Higher! Before Michael Jordan, before the NBA, even before basketball was considered a legitimate professional sport by most people, Bowman took a chance and produced the first nationally distributed basketball release. Featuring players from the Basketball Association of America, it would be almost a decade before another national basketball set was produced. Ernie Calverley of the Providence Steamrollers was selected to lead off this historic issue. Graded PSA Mint 9.
