Description
2007 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Kevin Durant (Rookie Exquisite Collection Autograph Patch) #94 BGS NM-MT+ 8.5, Auto 10 - #'d 57/99. A versatile athlete that plays both forward positions and his 6'10" height creates match-up problems when he's at small forward. He's hard to contain because he can shoot from outside, drive to the hoop and finish with a variety of dunks. All of this has aided in Durant receiving several accolades like 2014 NBA MVP, 12x NBA All-Star, 6x All-NBA First Team, 4x NBA Scoring Champion, 3x Olympic Gold Medalist and a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. All of this can hardly be a surprise when the lanky sharp shooter from the University of Texas, entered the NBA as a member of the Seattle Supersonics in 2007.While at Texas Durant was the first ever freshman to be named Naismith College Player of the Year. He then was the second overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. Durant wasted no time demonstrating his scoring skills - averaging 20.3 PPG and winning the Rookie of the Year Award. He continued his offensive production as the Supersonics became the Oklahoma City Thunder. In his nine seasons with the team he lead them to many deep playoff runs and is still the franchise leader in points per game (27.4). But, he could never get over the hump of winning an NBA Championship, that is when he then he went to the Golden State Warriors.
In Golden State he teamed with fellow NBA MVP Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson to form one of the greatest shooting teams ever. He would help the Warriors win back-to-back NBA Championships and would claim NBA Finals MVP for both. Unfortunately, injuries would hamper KD and the Warriors pursuit of a three-peat. Ultimately an Achilles injury took him out and the Warriors lost the series to the Toronto Raptors. After this Durant decided to leave in free agency to move to the Eastern Conference and attempt to lead the Brooklyn Nets to a championship. Coming from the highly sought after Upper Deck Exquisite Collection product this rookie of the Slim Reaper has an absolutely fantastic three color patch from a Sonics jersey and blue marker on-card autograph. Graded BGS NM-MT+ 8.5 with subgrades: Centering 9.5, Corners 8, Edges 8.5, Surface 9 and a Beckett Auto 10. Limited edition - #57/99.
