2004 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection David Robinson (Exquisite Titleists) #ET-DR BGS NM-MT 8, Auto 9 - #'d 1/2! One of several Titleists cards consigned elsewhere in this auction, 2004-05 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Titleists collection captures the pinnacle achievement in basketball, the NBA title. Each card limited to the number of titles the player has won, an on-card signature and a piece of game-used jersey. This specific example represents the 1999 NBA Championship of the San Antonio Spurs and the card's subject, David Robinson.After becoming the Western Conference 1st seed in the lockout shortened 1998-99 season, the Spurs would beat the New York Knicks in five games of the NBA Finals. Robinson would pair with second year standout, Tim Duncan, to form the Twin Towers and also lead the Spurs to a finals win together in 2003. Duncan would win the MVP for the finals, but Robinson's defense (3.0 blocks per game) and leadership propelled San Antonio to the franchises 1st NBA title. The Admiral's Exquisite Titleists card features his on-card blue marker autograph with a piece of white game-used jersey. Graded BGS NM-MT 8 with subgrades: Centering 9.5, Corners 7.5, Edges 9, Surface 9 with a Beckett Auto 9. Limited edition - #1/2!
