One of the hobby's most coveted inserts!

2002-03 Upper Deck NBA Logo Mania Michael Jordan Logoman Autograph 1/1 #MJ2NBA BGS Gem Mint 9.5 - 10 Autograph. It was nearly two decades earlier that a dazzling young talent reinvented the professional game with soaring dunks that rattled rims from Chi-town to Madison Avenue. While athletic supremacy in the vast historical sweep of Naismith's game is still a matter of some debate, there can be no objection to the identification of Michael Jordan as the most transformative figure in post-war American sports marketing.

His earliest years provided the genesis for his most recognizable and widely-coveted brands, most specifically the Air Jordan that established Nike as a global powerhouse and the 1986 Fleer rookie card that remains the hobby's most celebrated basketball card. But that classic cardboard from the dawning of the Jordan Era would appear downright common when compared to this remarkable specimen from the opposite edge of MJ's tour of NBA duty.

Just nine Logoman cards were scattered, like Willy Wonka's Golden Tickets, throughout packs of 2002-03 Upper Deck basketball cards--three different one-of-one examples from Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Jay Williams. Each bears an NBA logo patch removed from that player's game worn jersey and a blue sharpie signature to match the "1/1" handwritten edition.

Much like the man it gently eased into retirement, this card borders upon perfection, with 9.5 subgrades for centering, corners and edges, a 9 for the surface, and a perfect 10 for the autograph. Unquestionably one of the most desirable Jordan cards to appear on the hobby's auction block in recent memory.
