Description

1996 Flair Kobe Bryant (Legacy Collection - Row 1) Rookie #31 PSA Gem Mint 10 - #'d 123/150. Kobe Bryant and basketball were entwined from the beginning. The son of long-time NBA player Joe "Jellybean" Bryant, Kobe was born in Philadelphia and later starred at nearby Lower Merion High School. He averaged 30.8 points a game in high school and was the nation's premier college prospect, but Kobe decided to turn pro, and after a draft-connected deal, wound up with the Los Angeles Lakers as an 18-year-old rookie. He would wear the purple and gold for the entirety of his twenty year career and is perhaps the most beloved player in franchise history. After a fatal helicopter crash in January 2020, Bryant was posthumously voted into the basketball Hall of Fame and the Lakers retired both of his jersey numbers 8 and 24.

Bryant's on-court accomplishments are legendary and his status as one of the greatest athletes of all time, in any sport, has long been established. Five-time NBA champion, eighteen-time All-Star, 2008 MVP. To an entire generation of fans, the name "Kobe" will forever be associated with greatness.

Offered for sale, without question, one of the best Kobe Bryant cards in existence. The iconic 1996 Flair Showcase Legacy Collection Row 1 in an astonishing PSA 10 GEM MINT. This card is one of the rarest Kobe Bryant rookies ever made, numbered to only 150 and out of 60 known copies graded by PSA and 50 known copies graded by Beckett, only ten have achieved a perfect 10 from either grading services. With so many of these cards accounted for, it is entirely possible that no other 10's will be encapsulated. One of the best cards of one of the best players ever.

Graded PSA Gem Mint 10. Limited edition #123/150.
