1994 Upper Deck Collector's Choice Michael Jordan (Box Topper Blow-Ups - Autograph) #23 PSA NM-MT 8, PSA/DNA Auto 8. It's a baseball photo on the front and a golf photo on the back, but this outrageously rare and important trading card is an Upper Deck basketball product, a fact validated by the Chicago Bulls statistics on verso and the logo of the National Basketball Association. A simple retirement wasn't going to make any serious trading card company dump the sport's greatest figure from its roster, particularly if he was still out there competing.

But this offering competes with nothing, a pop-one-none-superior beauty that, besides the obvious appeal of the subject and the bold black sharpie signature he applied to the card's surface, stands as an important pioneer of the earliest days of autographed insert cards. Still not impressed? Well, then consider the fact that this is a "Blow-Up" card (commonly called a "box-topper), approximately four times the size of the average trading card fare at 7x5" in dimension.

Nearly three decades after this outrageous "pull" sent one lucky collector into celebratory hysterics, the card exhibits essentially no evidence of handling, suffering none of the faults common to oversized issues like this. Graded PSA NM-MT 8 with a certified and graded PSA/DNA Auto 8.
