    Description

1984-85 Star Co. Michael Jordan Rookie #101 BGS NM-MT+ 8.5. The 1986 Fleer Jordan that serves as the most recognizable cardboard of the past half century is widely and properly filed under the header of "rookie," but the offered relic predates that hobby essential, tracking back to the first days of His Airness on an NBA court. There are no professional statistics to be found on the back of this coveted rarity--only Tar Heels tallies--and nothing but immortality ahead.

And this isn't just the older sibling of the Jordan rookie family, but a far rarer one to boot. These cards were originally distributed in sealed team bags with the Jordan on top, in a production run believed to have numbered below 5,000. While the entire world is focused on the Fleer, many smart investors are reaching for the Stars. Graded BGS NM-MT+ 8.5 with subgrades: Centering 8, Corners 9, Edges 8.5, Surface 8.5.
