1984-85 Star Co. Michael Jordan #101 BGS NM-MT+ 8.5. What is it about the rookie cards of the greatest players ever? Many call Mickey Mantle's 1952 Topps card his "rookie" where hobbyists know better. Michael Jordan's 1986 Fleer card is considered his "official" rookie card and an easy argument can be made that the greatest basketball player of all-time is Michael Jordan, but the most passionate basketball collectors treasure card #101 from the 1984-85 Star Co. series, as it is truly the first card and thusly the true rookie card of the greatest basketball player - ever. It must be a question of supply as the demand is without question. These cards were distributed in sealed bags with the Jordan card located on top and the supposed production run is below 5,000.

Graded BGS NM-MT+ 8.5. Subgrades: Centering 9, Corners 9, Edges 9, Surface 8.5. It has been almost twenty years since he retired from basketball and still he is a world-wide phenomenon with generation and after generation of fans young and young at heart wanting to be "Like Mike!"
