Signed 1971 Topps Dave Cowens Rookie #47 PSA Mint 9, PSA/DNA Auto 9 - Pop One, None Higher! Hall of Fame center Dave Cowens played 10 seasons for the Boston Celtics. Selected with the No. 4 overall pick in the 1970 NBA Draft, Cowens quickly became a force in Boston's starting rotation and was named Rookie of the Year in 1971. A 6' 9" big man, Cowens led the Celtics to two NBA titles (1974 and '76). Offered is Dave's 1971 Topps rookie card (#47) which shows the big redhead against a bright orange background. The card in is Mint condition but what pushes this particular example into another stratosphere of collectability is the beautiful signature and inscription that graces the front. Cowens signed his name in fine-point blue ink and added "HOF 91" underneath his autograph to commemorate his induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Graded PSA Mint 9 with an autograph certified and graded PSA/DNA Auto 9. This is the only autographed card graded Mint in the PSA Pop Report with none rated higher.
