1976-79 Topps Basketball High-Grade Complete Sets. The 1976-77 set of 144 cards are difficult to find in top condition because of the awkward size of the cards. Highlights include PSA 9: #57 Walton, PSA 8: #127 Erving AS, 130 Maravich AS; #1 Erving (EX/MT), 43 Bradley (NM), 48 Checklist (EX/MT), 60 Maravich (EX/MT), 100 Abdul-Jabbar (NM), 110 Thompson (NM), 126 Abdul-Jabbar AS (NM/MT). Grades 55% NM to NM/MT, 45% EX to EX/MT. 1977-78 was Topps' first of three 132-card runs and contained rookie cards of Adrian Dantley, Robert Parish and Darryl Dawkins. Highlights include #1 Abdul-Jabbar (EX), 20 Maravich (NM), 100 Erving (EX), 111 Parish (NM), 120 Walton (NM/MT), 132 Dawkins (EX). Grades 70% NM to NM/MT, 30% EX to EX/MT. Two 1978-79 132-card sets include rookies Walter Davis, Norm Nixon, Dennis Johnson, Bernard King, Jack Sikma and Marques Johnson. Highlights include #1 Walton (NM, EX), 75 King (NM/MT, NM), 78 D. Johnson (NM/MT, NM), 80 Maravich (NM, NM), 110 Abdul-Jabbar (NM, NM), 130 Erving (NM/MT, EX/MT). Set 1 grades 90% NM to NM/MT, 10% lesser. Set 2 grades 55% NM to NM/MT, 45% EX to EX/MT. Two 1979-80 132-card sets include rookies Alex English, Mychal Thompson and Reggie Theus. Highlights include #1 Gervin (EX/MT, EX), 10 Abdul-Jabbar (NM/MT, NM/MT), 20 Erving (NM, NM), 31 English (NM/MT, NM), 60 Maravich (NM, EX/MT).
