    Description

Early 1980's Enos Slaughter Old Timers Game Worn New York Yankees Uniform from The Enos Slaughter Collection.
Classic style is identical to those worn on the field by the Yanks of the Eighties, except that this one was sported by a man whose Bronx service ended decades earlier. Jersey and matching pants bear handwritten "Enos" inside each, the jersey likewise sporting the number "17" on back which Slaughter wore between 1954 and 1959. A removed swatch at interior collar suggests that this jersey may indeed have been worn by an active Yankee (Oscar Gamble?) before transitioning to Old Timer use. Scattered staining. Letter of provenance from Slaughter family.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
