    Description

Circa 1928 Hall of Famers Multi-Signed Baseball with Ruth, Gehrig, Cobb & More. Ancient sphere is a bit of a mystery but appears to derive primarily from a meeting between the two greatest teams of the late 1920's--the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Athletics. The former provides the autographs of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Waite Hoyt, while the latter adds Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker, Al Simmons, Mickey Cochrane, Lefty Grove and Eddie Collins. The theme is thrown off only by Bucky Harris of the Washington Senators and Harry Heilmann of the Detroit Tigers. Nineteen signatures in total are sealed to the "Canadian Official League" sphere beneath an ancient coating of shellac, the autographs averaging about 4/10. An extraordinary assembly of eleven pre-war Hall of Famers. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
