C. 1900 Baseball "Positions" Pins (Stadium Backgrounds) Collection (17) and Proof Sheet. Offered is a collection of seventeen c. 1900 baseball pins referred to as "Positions" as players are not named but listed by a position on the playing field. These pinbacks are found in various backgrounds. This presentation features full color playing field/stadium scenes and are the most attractive. Note color variations of caps and socks. Includes: Catcher/Blue, Catcher/Blue, First Base/Blue (x2), First Base/Red, Second Base/Red(x2), Short Stop/Blue, Short Stop/Red(x2), Third base/Red(x2), Left Field/Blue, Center Field/Blue, Right Field/Blue, Pitcher/Red and Captain/Red. Also included is a fascinating approx. 8 x 3-1/4" printers proof sheet with ten pins, all red cap/socks variants. Two pins are missing reverse stick-pin portion. Four are designed to have paper inserts, two are missing. That aside, overall excellent+ with a few lesser. Proof sheet has paper/glue on the reverse.Auction Info
