Description

2014 Derek Jeter Game Used & Signed Bat, PSA/DNA GU 8.5. This description has been updated.

The Captain's 2014 season was a coast-to-coast love fest, with affectionate ceremonies bidding farewell to the five-time World Champion every time he made his last appearance in a Major League Ballpark. The presented lumber found Jeter very close to the end of the most decorated baseball career of the past two decades, recording the final hits in his sixth-place all-time tally of 3,465. The bat was auctioned off at Jeter's Turn 2 Foundation charity event at the Aria in Las Vegas but no paperwork accompanied. Our consignor was told this was indeed one of Jeter's final bats from his Hall of Fame career. This signature model Louisville Slugger P72 exhibits solid game use in the form of ball marks and deep stitch impressions. Pine tar is still sticky on the uncracked handle. Knob end provides the relevant details of production date, length and weight: "07/21/14, 34.0/32.0." A 9/10 silver sharpie signature on the barrel is notated "2014 Game Used." LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 8.5. COA from Steiner Sports. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph). Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
