    Description

1996 Ted Williams Inscribed & Signed Book To Enos Slaughter Referencing the 1946 World Series from The Enos Slaughter Collection. The greatest hitter who ever lived only played in one World Series, and he lost. Enos Slaughter was the player who scored the winning run in that Series on his "Mad Dash." In Teddy Ballgame's 1996 book entitled "Ted Williams' Hit List. The Ultimate Ranking of Baseball's Greatest Hitters," he inscribes and signs the flyleaf to his old adversary and fellow Hall of Famer, Enos Slaughter, thusly:

"To Enos Slaughter who beat us [in] the Series in 1946. Best Always, Ted Williams."

The back of the dust jacket has a tear and creasing on one small portion, but the rest of the jacket and book are NRMT. The blue ballpoint inscription and autograph grade 10/10. And the book is a great read. A really unique lot to say the least. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Letter of provenance from the Slaughter family.
