1993 Bo Jackson Game Worn Chicago White Sox Jersey, MEARS A10.Bo Jackson could do things on an athletic field which have never or will be seen again. Marketing intervened with the two-sport star's career and the legend of Bo was created. For all of his popularity, it remains a mystery why there are so few game worn items available. Most are probably tucked away in collections, never to see the light of day.
Following an injury which would have forced a mere mortal into retirement, Bo resumed his baseball career in the Windy City in 1993. His comeback lasted two seasons before he was done with professional sports at the age of thirty-one. This "Russell Athletic size 48" jersey saw use during Bo's comeback season of 1993. The jersey shows great overall use with an equal distribution of puckering and fraying to the two-tone team name and both sets of numbers. This jersey was originally on display at the Hard Rock Cafe and personally donated by Jackson according to the MEARS letter. The company graded this pinstriped classic knit a perfect A10 for the "heavy use" and impeccable provenance. The tail features a Russell Athletic tag, fabric content label and "8 Jackson 93" cloth swatch. The left sleeve is accentuated with a Comiskey Park team patch. LOA from MEARS, A10.
