Description

1985 Gary Carter All-Star Game Ring from The Gary Carter Collection. This was Gary's first year and first All-Star selection as a Metropolitan. For the season, he went 32, 100, .281 which placed him sixth in the overall National League MVP balloting. But it wasn't only about the numbers. The Kid also infused the entire squad with a never say die, all out hustle attitude. And the New York fans loved him for it, just as the Montreal fans had. Top has "All-Star Game" wrapped around a red stone topped with MLB logo in gold leaf (a small section of the gold leaf used to outline the batter's head in the logo has come off but does not detract from its visual appeal). Sides display "1985 American League All-Stars vs. National League All-Stars" and "1985 All-Star Game, Minneapolis Metrodome." Inside the band is "LGB GTC." Size 9.5. Letter of provenance from Sandy Carter.
