    Description

1975 George Brett Rookie #228 PSA Gem Mint 10. No regular third baseman in Major League history has recorded more hits than this first-ballot Hall of Famer, nor has any player matched Brett's feat of winning a batting title in three different decades. Though the 2014 team came up just one swing short of the World Championship, Brett remains the most recognizable Royal in franchise history nearly three decades after his retirement. A rookie with the 1974 Kansas City squad, Brett is approaching the Golden Anniversary of service to the franchise as vice president of baseball operations.

Presented is an essentially pristine example of the trading card that welcomed the heartthrob Hall of Famer to the Bigs, a cherished commodity among female fans if not the American League pitchers who would have to face him in competition. The player who waged the most substantial challenge to Ted Williams' status as the last .400 hitter since The Kid authored the feat in 1941 finds no superiors here, earning every point of his unimprovable PSA rating. Fewer than one in a thousand submissions have earned the service's Gem Mint assessment.
