Possibly the last Twins uniform that "Killer" ever wore!

1974 Harmon Killebrew Game Worn Minnesota Twins Uniform, MEARS A10. "No individual has ever meant more to the Minnesota Twins organization and millions of fans across Twins territory than Harmon Killebrew," Twins president Dave St. Peter declared in his 2011 eulogy of the fallen slugger. The statement was not the least bit controversial. For twenty-one seasons and 2,329 games, Killebrew had served the franchise with honor, leaving Minnesota after the 1974 season owning the team record for appearances, home runs, runs batted in and total bases, each still standing to this day.

Killebrew's 2,329th and final Twins appearance came in a pinch-hitting capacity as he recorded the final out of the 1974 season in a loss to the visiting Texas Rangers at Metropolitan Stadium. Presented is a full uniform that may well have been with Killer for that final breath of his Twins service. The home white knit ensemble is 100% original and unaltered from top to bottom, exhibiting wear characterized as "Heavy" by the experts at MEARS, who assign their highest possible grading assessment.

"Twins" and Killebrew's number "3," retired from Twins use in 1975, are applied to the jersey chest in red and blue tackle twill, that digit repeated in larger format on reverse. Classic team logo patch remains affixed at left sleeve. Interior collar is properly labeled "Wilson [size] 46" above a 9/10 blue sharpie signature. Lower left front tail holds an embroidered swatch reporting, "74 Set 3."

Matching pants are labeled "Wilson [size] 36" at interior waistband beside a lengthy embroidered swatch reading, "3 74 Set 2 36 24." A large number "3" is markered at interior pocket.

Beginnings and endings are always coveted by collectors, and though Killebrew would serve a final, rather forgettable season in a Kansas City Royals uniform, this uniform represents the true closing bookend to his glorious career.
