    1973 Topps Mike Schmidt - Rookie 3rd Basemen #615 PSA Gem Mint 10 - Pop Six. If you were a Chicago Cubs fan in the 1970's-80's it was Mike Schmidt who was at the top of your "Most Hated" list. Of his 548 career home runs, 50 landed in the seats at Wrigley Field. This is by far the most homers he hit in an opponent's stadium. Surprisingly, almost 25% of Schmidt's 2,234 career hits were home runs. Schmidt enjoyed a fantastic 18-year career with the Philadelphia Phillies and is one of the greatest athletes to ever wear a Phillies jersey. Card #615 is the "Rookie 3rd Baseman" card from the 1973 Topps issue. HoFer Mike Schmidt shares the spotlight with other first-year standouts at the same position - Dodgers star Ron Cey and the Padres' John Hilton. What this card does not share with others is the quality. Hobbyists are all too aware that SGC tends to be on the conservative side. Thanks to a virtually flawless state of reservation and perfect centering which is something one rarely experiences with this card. Graded PSA Gem Mint 10. This is one of only six cards to earn the Gem Mint rating from PSA from a total pop of over 7,300 submissions plus another 700 if you count qualified results! Exceptionally high quality and a visual crowd pleaser.
