Description

1966 Bob Shaw Game Worn San Francisco Giants Jersey. He battled Sandy Koufax to a one-to-nothing victory in Game Five of the 1959 World Series, and holds the all-time record for balks in one game (five). This road grey gamer finds Shaw near the end of two and a half seasons with the Giants before he was purchased by the Mets in June 1966. Impeccable specimen announces "San Francisco" in black and orange block lettered tackle twill on chest, with "29" similarly applied to verso. Interior collar holds embroidered "Shaw" swatch, while lower left front tail reveals "66 46" embroidered directly into the jersey body between "Spalding [size] 46" labeling and a washing instructions tag anchoring a "Set 1 1966" flap. Light, appropriate wear. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
