1962 New York Mets Opening Day Full Ticket, PSA VG 3 MK. A franchise is born! Though the 120 losses suffered by this first incarnation of the new National League franchise from New York City would lead manager Casey Stengel to famously exclaim, "Can't anybody here play this game?!," the 1962 squad still holds a special place in the hearts of Mets faithful. The presented ticket could have seen the inaugural Polo Grounds home game, a four to three loss to the Roberto Clemente's Pittsburgh Pirates. A clean fold down the middle is the only thing which keeps this from a much higher grade. A small stain below the "Opening Day" reference resulted in an "MK" qualifier. Encapsulated by PSA, VG 3 (MK).
