1956-57 Brooklyn Dodgers Team Signed Baseball. Gorgeous high-grade sphere is a bit of a mystery, as it features both the immortal Jackie Robinson, who retired after the 1956 season, and Fred Kipp, who debuted for the Bums in September of 1957. Our strongest suspicion is that Kipp hung around the Ebbets Field dugout during Jackie's final days in 1956, but we have titled the lot to reference the inconsistency. The autographs themselves, however, are the very model of consistency, each and every one rating 8/10 or better and including Drysdale, Reese, Campanella, Alston and a secretarial Snider for Hall of Fame credentials. Twenty-two autographs appear in total, with Hodges and Newcombe the more significant figures lacking Cooperstown bronze. ONL (Giles). Full LOA from PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
