1955 Enos Slaughter Signed New York Yankees Contract from The Enos Slaughter Collection. Many believe the Kansas City Athletics served as a minor league team to the New York Yankees. Most of the trades were one-sided as those damn Yankees always seemed to benefit most. In 1955 the Yankees traded away veteran Enos Slaughter to Kansas City. Slaughter would resurface with the Yankees late in '56 when they selected him off waivers from Kansas City. This contract secured Slaughter's services for the '55 season to the Yankees. William DeWitt Sr. signed on as a Yankees representative. Mailing fold marks are visible. The original New York Yankees mailer which held this important document is also included. Letter of provenance from Slaughter family. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
