1954 Bob Feller Game Worn Cleveland Indians Cap, MEARS Authentic. They're widely considered the greatest non-World Championship team in baseball history, and the mathematics of that assessment are difficult to contest. No post-war Major League team has bested the Tribe's .721 winning percentage, a remarkable record of achievement built on the foundation of perhaps the greatest pitching rotation ever assembled. No fewer than four future Hall of Famers took the mound for Cleveland that year--Early Wynn, Bob Lemon, Hal Newhouser and the man who won thirteen and lost only three the year he sported this distinctive cap.

The controversial Chief Wahoo peers through the center of a logo "C" on the peak of the navy blue gamer, which exhibits solid wear and proper tagging at interior leather headband reading "Tim McAuliffe Inc" and "KM Pro Cap [size] 7 1/8." The Hall of Fame flamethrower provides his own assurance of authenticity with a 9/10 blue ballpoint signature under the visor underscored by the notation, "1954 My Hat."

Feller's signature may be one of the most common in the collectibles industry, but the same most certainly cannot be said for his game gear. A cap dating to the greatest regular season in the history of the Indians from the team's greatest arm since Cy Young is one certain to garner the attention of a wide range of suitors when it hits the auction block in Cleveland.
