1951 Topps Connie Mack All-Stars Christy Mathewson PSA EX-MT 6 - Pop Four, None Higher. The inaugural class Hall of Fame pitcher is captured as we all think of him - pitching of course, here against a vibrant black outline and deep red backdrop. His face conveys the look of determination that would earn the "Big Six" a well-justified place in Cooperstown's inaugural class of legends of the game. A hero off the field as well, Christy's death by pneumonia in 1925 was the delayed result of a poisonous gas attack occurring during his service in World War I. Graded PSA EX-MT 6.
