Description

1943 National League All-Stars & 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers Black Bats (2). Pair of commemorative Hillerich & Bradsbys derive from the personal collection of Fred "Dixie" Walker, whose membership upon these two noteworthy clubs earned him the honor of ownership. First is black lumber issued for the eleventh edition of the Midsummer Classic, held at Philadelphia's Shibe Park. Walker was a starting outfielder for the defeated Senior Circuit. Surface wear provides a technical VG-EX status. Even more noteworthy is the second bat, issued to the National League Champion Brooklyn Dodgers of 1947, the team that introduced the great Jackie Robinson to the Majors. Condition is EX-MT.
