Description

1941 Double Play Williams/Cronin #81/82 PSA NM-MT 8 - Only One Higher. While the world was focused on Joe DiMaggio in the summer of '41, Boston had a growing superstar of their own named Ted Williams. It was just his third season but he was already an All-Star, was averaging 210 hits and 30 home runs while putting up an epic .356 BA helped by his .406 BA in '41 that has yet to be bested for 77 years now. If not for "the streak" Williams would certainly have received MVP honors. This is one of two cards on which Williams appears in this issue. Very slight tip wear (two are "minty") all with clean surfaces and crisp edges. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. One of six in NM-MT with one rated higher.
