1940's Mort Cooper Single Signed Game Used Baseball. The top St. Louis Cardinals ace during the war years, Cooper presents a great challenge for collectors due to his early death in 1958 at age forty-five. The 1942 National League MVP attributed much of his success to the help of his brother Walker, who called the pitches for Mort for several years as the Cardinals catcher. This ONL (Frick) baseball saw game action. Cooper provides a 9/10 signature to the game-used relic. "Beat Cincinnati Walters 3-1 7 hits" is scribed on a side panel. The ball originates from the collection of Mort's son. Letter of provenance from son of Mort Cooper. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
