    Description

1940's Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball, Beckett Auto 8. While the superstar slugger's famous and unfailing generosity of spirit ensured that his is the most available of all pre-war sporting legends, the tremendous demand for his essential autograph has nonetheless powered a sustained upward trajectory in auction results throughout the years. Historically, the Babe's signature has been the hobby's safest bet. It has been commonly and properly stated that every great sports memorabilia collection begins with the Babe Ruth single signed baseball.

Presented is a glorious incarnation thereof, a dazzling specimen that has proven virtually impervious to the assaults of Father Time. The blue fountain pen signature on the sweet spot both thrills with its lofty 8/10 rating, and also leaves the observer to wonder if the grade might be a tad stingy. Non-official sphere is lightly soiled, but not in any way that detracts from the world-class aesthetics. Encapsulated by Beckett, Auto 8. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
