1933 R305 Tattoo Orbit Ernie Lombardi PSA NM 7 - Only Two Higher. Ernie Lombardi had such power at the plate a New York Times sportswriter likened them to "a shell leaving a howitzer." Not the fastest runner in Major League history, Lombardi is considered one of the four "Mount Rushmore" of pre-war catchers along with Mickey Cochrane, Bill Dickey and Gabby Hartnett. Many blame a grudge held against him by former Reds general manager and National League president Warren Giles for his long delay in joining the trio in the Hall of Fame.
