Description

1933 Goudey Carl Hubbell #234 PSA Mint 9 - Pop Four, Only One Higher. Carl Hubbell was having a career year in 1933. In the end, Hubbell was the National League MVP, racking up twenty-three victories thanks to a microscopic 1.66 ERA on 308.2 innings pitched. Ten of those victories came on shutouts. Just for good measure, Hubbell shined in the October Classic with two complete game victories without allowing a single earned run in twenty innings of work. This was the first of two National League MVP Awards he would add to his '33 World Championship ring.

Graded PSA MINT 9. One of only four graded MINT 9 by PSA with one rated higher. With an almost complete lack of wear at the corners, surfaces and edging, this card ranks in the top one-third of one percent of over 82,000 Goudey cards reviewed by PSA. A wonderful card featuring an athlete at the top of his game that has survived in what can easily be called "uncirculated" condition.
