1933 Delong Lou Gehrig #7 PSA NM-MT+ 8.5 - Pop One, None Higher! This is the "Iron Horse" at his peak. All baseball aficionados are aware that Gehrig's 2,130 consecutive game streak, his career, and later his life, was cut short by his contracting amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, now commonly known as "Lou Gehrig's Disease." But this card was six years before this New York Yankee's final season. The striking photo depicts Gehrig's powerful swing, one that over 17 seasons enabled him to bash 493 home runs, hit .340 lifetime, win a Triple Crown, lead the American League three times in homers, five times in RBI, win two AL MVP awards, and play a major role in seven pennants and six World Series wins. In 1933, Gehrig was only 30 and still playing at an elevated level. He hit .334, blasted 32 homers, led the league with 138 runs, and knocked in 140.

Graded PSA NM-MT+ 8.5. This wondrous card has the highest PSA grade ever awarded to a 1933 DeLong Lou Gehrig card. The DeLong issue in 1933 was their sole baseball set, but their cards feature an eye-catching stylized colorful stadium background, radiating the brilliant primary colors of blue, red, and yellow - with green added for the grass. In the foreground is a B&W photo of Gehrig with a beautifully extended swing emphasizing Gehrig's raw power. The reverse has a baseball playing tip rather than stats. Here is an opportunity to own the most exciting card in this prized set.
