1932 U.S. Caramel Jimmy Foxx #23 PSA NM-MT 8 None Higher! Simply put, Jimmie Foxx was the National League's version of Babe Ruth but at times it seemed Ruth was the American League response to Jimmie Foxx. Each man earned dozens of league leading stats and Fox may have actually trumped Babe Ruth's as the first World Series "Called Shot" by telling teammate Mickey Cochrane how he had a feeling he was going to win the game with a round tripper. "The Beast" earned back-to-back American League MVP Awards in 1931 and '32, with a Triple Crown performance in the latter, there was no more feared slugger in the Majors than Jimmie Foxx when he lugged this massive war club to the plate. The early years of his Hall of Fame career were in the shadow of the New York Yankees but Connie Mack's herd of white elephants trampled the protracted American League dominance of the Yankees, Foxx blazing the trail with his thunderous Louisville Slugger. Here he is a key member of the select U.S. Caramels roster. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. One of ten in NM-MT with none graded higher.
