Description

1932 U.S. Caramel Charles Ruffing #20 PSA NM-MT 8 - None Higher! After three seasons in the unfamiliar role of runner-up to Connie Mack's second great Athletics dynasty, the Yankees retrieved its American League pennant from the Philly flagpole in decisive fashion, clinching a World Series berth exactly two weeks before Game One. With the luxury of setting its Fall Classic pitching rotation to its greatest benefit, the Yanks tapped their red-headed ace - Charles "Red" Ruffing. The 1932 American League strikeout king was second only to Lefty Grove in earned run average for the season. Surprisingly, there are others equaling the technical assessment. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. One of seven in NM-MT with none graded higher.
